Lyon métropole

Lyon Métropole is the first French city to have obtained the label AFNOR Diversité, showing its actual and voluntary commitment to promote equality.

The city has been distinguished for its commitment in favour of equal opportunities, promotion of diversity and fight against discriminations.


As evidence for this distinction, Lyon has launched an unprecedented campaign of communication.
To illustrate the equality policy of the city of Lyon, we have created a usual name : « égalycité »

This term unites three strong words : equality / Lyon / city
« éga » comes from the word equality
« ly » is the place where equality is enacted : Lyon
« cité » as equality is applied to everyone in the city


The communication campaign égalycité is treated in the form of striking imageries. We have bound bright colours with a typographic message composed of personal pronouns revolving around the sign « = »

This attracts the eye by offering an immediate reading and an immediate transmission of the message.


We have developped a so called fame experience through an ad and press campaign. The brand égalycité establishes itself as a proper noun.

Since then it has been used for other information and communication campaigns for Lyon Métropole.
